ABOUT
Having been a successful independent school Head for over 14 years, I am now thoroughly enjoying my work as an educational consultant, executive coach and mentor, utilising my extensive experience to support and advise school leaders and governors. I am an ISI Inspector and was proud to act as Chair of the Society of Heads after serving on the Committee for many years. Combined with previous roles on HMC, ISA and GSA committees I have a strong grasp of both the excellence provided, and the challenges faced within the sector. I have diverse interests and expertise to offer, enabling organisations and individuals to develop. I embrace innovation and model the highest standards of leadership, strategic planning, recruitment, teaching and learning.
With postgraduate qualifications in Leadership and Management and a strong sporting background I adopt a supportive, ethical coaching style. Professional development, teaching and learning, change management, coaching and school improvement are my particular strengths. I am passionate about the importance of continuous development and also empowering others to strive for excellence. I am a Trustee of an independent school and have recently served as a Local Authority Governor. My experience as a Director for Active Lancashire and academic coach for MBA postgraduate students at Lancaster has also extended my experience beyond the scope of education. As a qualified Level 7 executive coach and mentor I support a number of school Heads and executive business leaders.

Leading a school is a privilege but it is also unrelenting and can be a lonely job. I offer personalised 1:1 coaching for Heads, senior and aspiring leaders. In addition, I can give specialist group coaching for leadership teams, helping to build or refresh the team dynamic within the group.
